Delete Your Bēkon Account

This page explains how to delete your Bēkon account (published by Bekon LLC) and the personal data associated with it. You can delete your account directly in the app, or by email if you no longer have access.
Delete in the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Bēkon app:

Open the Profile tab
Sign in to the Bēkon app and tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.

Tap "Delete account"
Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap Delete account.

Type DELETE to confirm
Type DELETE in the confirmation field, then tap Delete. This is irreversible.

You're signed out immediately
Your account, profile, questionnaire responses, and event history are removed right away. Active subscriptions are cancelled and your sign-in is revoked.
If you have an upcoming dinner event, please cancel your booking in the app first so other diners and the host restaurant can be notified. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover it.
Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app (for example, you have lost the device or can no longer sign in), you can request deletion by email instead:

Email from your account address
From the email address associated with your Bēkon account, send a message to contact@bekon.app with the subject Account Deletion Request.

Include your details
Include the following in the body of your message:
- Your first and last name as shown in the app
- The email address used to sign in to Bēkon
- A brief confirmation that you want your account and data deleted

We verify and confirm
We will verify the request against the email on file and delete your account within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymize the following:
- Profile information (first name, last name, date of birth, region)
- Account credentials and authentication records
- Questionnaire responses and compatibility data
- Event sign-ups, group assignments, and attendance history
- Device push notification tokens
- Support messages and feedback you have sent us
- Stored Stripe customer reference (your full card number is never stored by Bēkon)
What Data Is Kept, and For How Long
Some records must be retained after account deletion to meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and safety obligations. These records are kept only for the period required and are not used to re-identify you in the app:

Deleting Specific Data Only
If you would prefer to delete only certain information (for example, resetting your questionnaire responses) rather than your entire account, email contact@bekon.app and describe what you would like removed.
