Bēkon brings together strangers for dinner at a local restaurant. The restaurant is revealed the day before the event, and your dining companions remain a surprise until you arrive. It is a simple way to meet new people over a great meal.

Download the Bēkon app, create an account with your email, and complete a short questionnaire. The questionnaire helps us match you with a compatible group of diners.

We are launching in Northwest Arkansas (NWA). We plan to expand to additional regions based on demand. Stay tuned!

Yes. You must be at least 18 years old to use Bēkon. Your date of birth is collected during registration and cannot be changed afterward.

Our matching algorithm uses your questionnaire responses to create groups of 4-7 people. We aim for a mix of personalities that leads to engaging conversation -- not perfect compatibility, but genuine variety.

The restaurant is revealed 24 hours before the dinner. You will receive a notification with the restaurant name, address, and reservation time.

You can sign up with one friend (a "+1") -- no more than one per person. This keeps the stranger-meeting dynamic alive: a table may include several people who each brought a friend, but no one arrives with a larger group of people they already know.

We partner exclusively with local restaurants -- never a chain. Local restaurant groups are welcome, but you will not see national franchises. We select from a curated pool of restaurants in your region.

Go anyway. We've eaten at every place in our pool and we wouldn't send you somewhere we wouldn't go ourselves. But here's the thing -- the restaurant is the setting, not the point. The people at the table are. If you end up loving the spot, great. If you leave thinking it wasn't your favorite, you'll still have had a meal with people who might surprise you. After every dinner we collect feedback on both the restaurant and the group. That shapes where we send people next, and helps us put better tables together over time.

Currently, all dinners are held on Wednesday evenings. We chose a midweek night to give you something to look forward to during the week.

You pay a per-event fee when you sign up for a dinner. This covers platform costs and restaurant coordination. The price of your meal is separate -- you pay for your own food and drinks directly at the restaurant, just like a normal dinner out.

Payment is handled securely through Stripe. You add a payment method in the app and are charged when you book an event. We never store your full card number.

If you cancel before groups are matched, you receive a full automatic refund. Once you have been matched to a group, refunds are not available because your cancellation affects the other diners and the restaurant reservation.

Open the app, go to your profile tab, and edit your information. You can update your first name and other profile details at any time.

Bēkon is currently available in Northwest Arkansas (NWA) only, so there is just one region to choose from for now. As we open additional regions, you will be able to switch from your profile and see the events available where you are.

The questionnaire is completed once during onboarding and is not editable from your profile. If you would like to retake it, email contact@bekon.app and we will reset it so you can complete it again.

Email contact@bekon.app from the email address on your account with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will process the deletion within 30 days. See our account deletion page for full details.

Everyone who shows up is showing up for the same reason -- they want more people in their life and they're willing to do something a little uncomfortable to find them. That's already more common ground than most first meetings start with. We can't promise you'll love everyone you meet. But we've watched enough of these dinners play out to know you might be surprised.

Each person pays for their own food and drinks individually. There is no shared tab or pre-payment for the meal. Order what you like, just as you would at any restaurant.

Bēkon does not collect dietary information or guarantee that restaurants can accommodate specific dietary needs. You are responsible for communicating directly with the restaurant about any allergies or dietary requirements when you arrive.

You can cancel through the app. If you cancel before groups are matched, you will receive a full refund. After matching, cancellations are not refundable. Please cancel as early as possible so we can adjust the group.

No-shows affect the experience for everyone. Repeated no-shows may result in a warning or suspension of your account per our Terms of Service.

All dinners take place at established, vetted restaurants in public settings. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, hate speech, or disrespectful behavior. Anyone who violates our community standards will be removed from the platform.

Email us at contact@bekon.app with details. We take every report seriously and will follow up with you directly.

If something actually goes wrong -- not just awkward, but genuinely uncomfortable -- flag it in your post-dinner feedback. Anyone you report is blocked from matching with you again. Full stop. You won't share a table with them twice.

We collect your profile information, questionnaire responses, event history, and payment references. We never store full card numbers. For the full picture, read our Privacy Policy.

Your dining companions see only your first name after you have been matched. Your full profile is never shared publicly.
